Privacy Policy

This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") explains how Argo, together with our owners and affiliates (collectively, "Company," "our," "we," or "us"), gathers, uses, discloses, and safeguards information you supply through the Argo website located at argo.com (together, the "Site"). This Privacy Policy covers only information collected in connection with your use of the Site and does not extend to any other offering, product, or service. If you would rather we not collect, use, or disclose information about you and your Site activity as set out here, please refrain from using the Site. By using the Site, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Use.

California residents should also review our California Privacy Notice available here.

About the Site

The Site gathers several categories of information from and about its users, including medication details, geographic location, and stated preferences. Among other things, this allows the Site to:

  • Compare the price of your medication across nearby pharmacies;
  • Display comparable pricing for your medication using data received from third parties;
  • Issue a discount card upon your request; and
  • Supply coupons redeemable at the pharmacy you select.

Categories of Information We Collect

The information we gather from or about you enables us to deliver our services and helps personalize and enhance your experience on the Site. You can print or download a discount card and use our service without registering or opening an account. Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following categories of information directly from you:

  • Details about the medications you wish to fill (such as medication names and dosage) and your preferred pharmacy.
  • Details about your purchase transactions, including purchases made with our discount card, such as drug name and pharmacy location.
  • Geographic location data from you or your device, including geolocation, zip code, region, city, street address, time zone, and latitude/longitude coordinates.
  • Your stated preferences.
  • Technical and related data, such as information about your device, its operating system and application software, connected peripherals, and other data tied to your interactions with the Site.
  • Metadata and other information stored on or associated with your device.

We may also collect information directly from you outside the Site, such as when you submit a request or email to Customer Service.

When you use the Site, we automatically collect certain categories of information, such as details about your Site usage (for example, which features you used, content you viewed, and the dates and times of your interactions) and technical data about your device, including operating system, model, device identifier, and IP address.

We may also automatically collect certain technical information relating to you that your web browser sends whenever you visit a website, or that is collected when you use a mobile application (see "Cookies and Similar Tools" below for more detail). For instance, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service offered by Google, Inc. ("Google"), to gather information about your use of the Site. Google Analytics relies on "cookies" — text files placed on your device — to help us understand how you use our Site. Learn more about how Google uses this data by visiting "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services," located at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We may use the information we collect about you for the following purposes:

  • To operate the Site, including delivering its Service features.
  • To provide the information and services you request when using the Site.
  • To tailor your experience on the Site, such as offering interactive or personalized elements or content based on your interests, requests, and location.
  • To improve the Site and other Company products or services, including by developing new offerings, conducting quality control, and performing data analytics.
  • To support account management, patient care, customer service, and ongoing system maintenance.
  • To send marketing communications, such as promotional materials or advertisements — including for services offered by us and/or third parties that may interest you — delivered directly to you or through third-party apps or websites.
  • To communicate service-related or legally required notices about the Site, which may include email or text (SMS) messages sent to the mobile number you provide us.
  • To detect, deter, and respond to suspected fraud, intellectual property infringement, violations of our Terms of Use, violations of law, or other misuse of the Site.
  • To conduct data analytics, including compiling, synthesizing, generating, and analyzing anonymous usage and other aggregated statistics and information.
  • To monitor your use of the BIN/PCN/RXGroup/Member ID or other information we furnish to you.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may also:

  • Combine information you provide, or that we obtain from third parties, with other information we maintain, and use the combined information for any purpose listed above.
  • De-identify your information by stripping out data typically used to identify you, and use that de-identified information for any legally permitted purpose.

How We Share Information We Collect

Your information may be disclosed to the following third parties:

  • Pharmacies and other partners who help deliver the services available through the Site.
  • Business partners who may send marketing communications, promotions, advertisements, or other materials — including regarding other services we or third parties offer — that may interest you. You will be given a way to opt out of these marketing messages. We may also disclose information if legally required, or if we form a good-faith belief that disclosure is needed to (1) comply with law or legal process served on us; (2) protect or defend our rights or property; or (3) protect someone's safety.
  • Advisors, prospective transaction partners, or other third parties involved in considering, negotiating, or completing a change in corporate control — for example, a sale or merger. If all or substantially all of our assets or stock are acquired by another party, whether by merger, acquisition, reorganization, or otherwise, we may transfer our user database, including any personal information it contains, to that party.
  • Service providers who work with us or on our behalf to deliver or improve the Site or related products and services, or to carry out tasks for us. Our service providers must agree to safeguard your personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Note: None of the categories above extend to text messaging origination opt-in data and consent; that information is never shared with third parties.

We and our service providers may also share reports on user demographics and traffic trends, along with other information, that do not identify you, with third parties.

Information Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information — any information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you. We also use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to help protect personal information as it moves through certain areas of our Site across the Internet. SSL encryption is often indicated by "https" in the browser address bar or a closed-lock/solid-key icon in the browser window, though these indicators may not appear in mobile services that use SSL.

Even so, there is always some possibility that an unauthorized party could find a way around our safeguards. We cannot promise that the Internet or any technical system will be completely secure or error-free, and we are not responsible for the security of information you send over networks we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks. Emails and other messages you send us are not encrypted; by emailing us, you accept the risk that any personal information in that message could be intercepted or accessed by an unauthorized party.

Your Choices

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or by emailing us at support@argo.com. Even so, certain messages cannot be opted out of while you use the Site, such as non-promotional notices about programs or services you've registered for, or administrative, technical, or safety notices about the Site or our products and services.

The Site does not currently honor "do not track" signals or similar mechanisms that let you opt out of having your activity tracked over time and across other websites and online services. If that changes, we will describe the change in this Privacy Policy. For more on this evolving topic, visit www.allaboutdnt.org.

Information About Minors

The Site is meant for adult use only; we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you learn that your child, or someone under 18 in your care, has given us information without your permission, please reach out using the contact details below.

California Residents

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may ask us, once each calendar year, how and to whom we disclose certain categories of their personal information for direct marketing purposes. Submit such a request to support@argo.com. California residents should also review our California Privacy Notice for additional provisions that apply to them.

Links to Other Websites

Our Site may link to third-party websites and online services outside our control. We bear no responsibility for how those third parties collect, use, or disclose your information. We encourage you to review the privacy policy and terms of use of each site or service you visit. Including a link does not mean we endorse, are associated with, or make any warranty — express or implied — regarding that external website or service.

Cookies and Similar Tools

We use cookies to automatically collect, store, and sometimes track information from your computer or mobile device for statistical purposes to improve the Site. When you use our Site, we use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your settings and deliver customizable, personalized services. A cookie is a unique numeric code we place on your computer that helps us understand your location, the pages you visited on our site, and the third-party sites you visited beforehand. Web beacons are small snippets of code on our site that let us gather usage data. We retain the data received from cookies placed on your device. These cookies do not give third parties access to your personal information. If you'd rather not accept cookies from the Site, configure your browser to reject cookies from any site you visit, giving you greater control over cookie acceptance — though some parts of the Site may then not work correctly or may run more slowly. By using our Site without disabling cookies, you consent to their use. Note that other tracking technologies may still operate regardless.

Retention

We keep your personal information consistent with our record retention policies and as allowed by applicable law, unless you ask us to delete it by contacting support@argo.com. We will also keep your personal information as needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may update the information you've given us at any time by writing to Argo's program administrator.

Access from Outside the United States

If you access the Site from outside the United States, understand that your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed within the United States. Some governmental authorities may not view U.S. data protection standards as equivalent to those required in other jurisdictions.

Changes and Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on the Site and update the "last updated" date. Check that date at the top of this page to see whether the policy has changed since your last visit. Continuing to use the Site after that date means you accept this Privacy Policy along with any updates.
